Mortgage Loan Originator/Processor
The West Virginia Housing Development Fund (the "Fund"), a quasi-governmental organization providing safe, decent affordable housing across West Virginia, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mortgage Loan Originator/Processor in our Charleston Office.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to: Working directly with borrowers, realtors, third party originators, closing attorneys, appraisal management company and internal staff in order to originate, process, prepare and close loans; Identifying potential purchase or refinance candidates by working with all sources of prospective clients; Coordinating with internal staff to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations; Complying with all requirements established by the secondary market, USDA and/or the government agency with regards to underwriting, regulatory compliance and procedural guidelines; Interacting with customers in-person, by email and telephone daily, answering questions as they related to the refinancing and purchasing of single family mortgage loans; Monitoring and tracking all loans in process and facilitating what is needed to bring loans to closing; Scheduling loan closings and preparing closing packet for appropriate internal staff; and Responsible for meeting annual goals as required.

Required Education/Experience: High School Graduate or GED equivalent with a minimum of three years recent mortgage origination/loan processing experience or Associate's degree in Finance, Business or related field or completion of relevant American Banking Institute courses with direct experience in government loan products either as a loan officer or processor is preferred or Bachelor's degree in lieu of experience will be considered. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of loan origination software preferred.
Certificates/Licenses: Mortgage Loan Originator License or the ability to obtain the license within six months is required.
