Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate required; a special education endorsement is preferred
• Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in State Testing options in the area of Special Education standards and Washington State Learning Standards
• Ability to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students, particularly when a student is participating in an inclusive activity
• Ability to motivate students
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment
• Ability to perform general clerical duties
• Ability to maintain order and discipline in a classroom
• Ability to operate common office machines
• Ability to maintain basic files and records

Ability to understand Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows oral and written instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments

Additional Job Functions:

• Performs other related work as required
• Possibility of Director Duties

Salary: Wilson Creek School District follows the WCEA salary schedule. 2023-2024 Salary Schedule starts at $48,415.00 to $91,254.00, dependent on experience and education.  The Wilson Creek Education Association Contract provides a $1,500 sign-on bonus to new teachers payable the first month following your hire.  There is also a good possibility that the Wilson Creek School District may be transitioning to the (4) day school week model starting as soon as the 2024-2025 school year.
