As Offshore Operations Technician III, you'll perform a variety of operations and maintenance tasks associated with our offshore assets. Strong mechanical skills, the ability to thrive in a multi-team environment and a focus on safety will bring success in this role!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Performs various tasks to safely maintain offshore platforms, meter stations, facilities and associated equipment; maintain operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements
  • Handles data analysis and collaboration with others to resolve technical or operational problems
  • Follows all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
  • Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of platforms, facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
  • Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
  • Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Coordinates the work efforts of contract maintenance crews
  • Maintains and troubleshoots all related platform subsystems
  • Maintains compliance and inspection documentation
  • Verifies, calibrates and validates gas and liquid hydrocarbon flow measurement devices and equipment
  • Analyzes data while collaborating with others to find solutions to technical or operational issues
  • Adheres to compliance and policies for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
  • Maintains and troubleshoots orifice, ultrasonic, and Coriolis flow measurement system, analytical equipment for gas and liquid hydrocarbon combustion and communication devices in SCADA system
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of progressive experience working in the oil and gas industry, pipeline or offshore operations
  • Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

Must be willing to:
  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Use hand tools
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
  • Follows 14 on/14 off schedule and as needed
Other Requirements:
  • Preferred: Experience performing operational tasks, routine inspections, maintenance and calibration of equipment related to quality and quantity determination
  • Preferred: Experience performing operations and general maintenance in support of launching/receiving of oil/gas pigs, chemical injection operations, and pipeline operations
  • Preferred: Experience planning and conducting complex work requiring independent evaluation demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to safely perform tasks and make decisions with minimum supervision
  • Preferred: Able to apply niche knowledge in the effective completion of major projects and/or work assignments including performing maintenance, repair, calibrating, troubleshooting, dismantling, rebuilding, assembling and testing of various equipment, valves, operators, pumps, etc.
  • Preferred: Experience providing technical leadership and mentorship to peers
  • Preferred: Experience with FERC, DOT, OSHA, AGA & API guidelines, rules and regulations compliance
  • Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient knowledge of maintenance management programs
  • Possesses or is able to secure a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
  • Willing to travel by boat or helicopter to Offshore Platforms, and acquire a HUET "Helicopter Underwater Egress Training" and US Coast Guard Approved Water Survival course completion certificate
