Reporting to the Grounds Manager, provides for the general maintenance and care of Whitworth's property and grounds while demonstrating curiosity and willingness to take advantage of opportunities to grow in this position both personally and professionally.
Maintain grounds: mow, trim, and edge lawns; plant, cultivate, prune and spray, trees, shrubs, flowers and lawns; remove debris, snow, and ice from walks, roads, streets, and parking areas; may make repairs to manual and automatic irrigation systems; perform other duties including assisting other grounds and trades staff as assigned; collaborate with and lead student workers; assist in growing and maintaining grounds department social media presence; contribute to campus compost and sustainability efforts; demonstrate curiosity and willingness to take advantage of opportunities to grow in this position both personally and professionally.
