Digital Content Specialist

University Marketing and Communications Reporting to the associate director of communications, the digital content specialist plays a key role in maintaining information on the university website and affiliated subsites. In addition, the digital content specialist manages communications on the university portal and digital sign. The digital content specialist works with a team that includes the digital media specialist, social media managers, and writers/editors to meet the university's communication needs.

To succeed in this role candidate will need these qualifications and skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree with a major in communications, English, journalism, marketing or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated awareness and commitment to effectively establishing relationships and positive communications across multiple dimensions of diversity, including, but not limited to, race, gender, physical limitations, class or religious perspectives
  • Writing experience, including copywriting, editing and fact checking for digital application
  • Familiarity with AP style
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft 365 and computer software programs
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with a commitment to customer service
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and be productive in a fast-paced development environment
  • Ability to work within the framework of a cohesive team
  • A personal commitment to the Christian faith
