voestalpine Automotive Components Cartersville Inc. seeks Plant Manager in Birmingham, AL to participate in developing and implementing strategic plans and translate plan to staff to ensure support, modifying plan in response to changing internal and external factors. Build and maintain department structure, operating standards and practices adapting to business needs. Develop and implement talent plan to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time to meet the strategic needs of the organization. Manage employee performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against the goals,ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance problems and issues promptly. Ensure effective manufacturing and customer care function. Ensure continuous improvement of customer satisfaction through programs to reduced eviations, provide for on-time delivery,and meet customer quality and cost expectations. Establish, coordinate and administer an adequate structure for the delivery of effective and efficient administrative operations. Participate in formulating and administering company policies and is the lead in their enforcement. Lead the oversight construction portfolio, to include all ground up construction projects and change of use redevelopments. Work alongside the development team in order to evaluate the viability of the project prior to acquisition with primary job responsibilities to include: preliminary design and building programming, general contractor sourcing, construction estimate evaluation,and overall project feasibility relating to construction and implementation. Oversee project team to include an onsite project manager, architect and general contractor.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Engineering Management or Business Administration together with 3 years of professional experience in the following skills: leading a diverse group of support functions related to Production Operations implementing ISO standards; financial analysis including providing reports and analysis of financial position and forecasts and developing and implementing strategic plans; applying principles and practices of management and administration;working with governmental policy;project management and personnel management. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, the employer will accept an Associate's degree or foreign equivalent and 5 years of professional experience in the following skills: leading a diverse group of support functions related to Production Operations implementing ISO standards;financial analysis including providing reports and analysis of financial position and forecasts and developing and implementing strategic plans; applying principles and practices of management and administration; working with governmental policy; project management and personnel management. Required 15-20% national and international travel.
