The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an Incentives Coordinator in its Incentives Division to assist with Incentive compliance. The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with the management of incentive compliance, compiling incentive reports, and providing division administrative support.
Responsibilities:
• Work with cities and counties around Virginia to compile annual reports from companies that have received financial incentives from the Commonwealth
• Work with Commissioners of Revenue to conduct verification procedures associated with capital investment
• Work with the Virginia Employment Commission to conduct verification procedures associated with job creation and wages
• Enter information from companies into VEDP's CRM system (Salesforce)
• Compile semi-annual reports to the Board on the status and progress of capital investment and job creation for all projects that have been awarded financial incentives
• Provide administrative report such as scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, making travel arrangements, paying invoices, and drafting meeting agendas
Skills:
• Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to review reports and ensure accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with state, regional, and local partners, private sector officials, and other outside contacts
• Exceptional grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and implement projects; negotiate and resolve problems; and formulate and communicate recommendations
Experience:
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office
• Experience using Salesforce a plus
A valid Virginia driver's license is required.
Salary minimum: $45,000.
