Village of Ardsley

Ardsley, NY

About

Ardsley is one of six incorporated villages within the Town of Greenburgh, along with the villages of Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington and Tarrytown.  Ardsley is approximately 1.3 square miles in size with a population of 4,634 (2016).  The Village of Ardsley is part of the Ardsley School District but the School District is much larger, and includes areas and students from nearby communities including Dobbs Ferry, Hastings, White Plains and portions of unicorporated Greenburgh which has a Scarsdale, Hartsdale, or other local postal address.

Most municipal services are provided by the Village -- police, sanitation and public works, for example.  [See Departments pages for more information.]  Other services, such as fire and ambulance, are provided by volunteer organizations.  In addition, many other village functions are supported by volunteer committees and boards including recreation, multicultural events and environmental protection.  [See the Boards and Committees pages for more infomation and to learn how you can volunteer and help support your community.]
