College of Engineering This position operates as a member of the technology support team, reporting to the Engineering Outreach Technology Support Managers, and assists the College of Engineering Director of IT. This position requires 3 years of experience working with digital video and audio signals and equipment.
Salary range: $19.58 per hour or higher, depending on experience.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Installing, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, monitoring, and network configuration of client and server operating systems and software, insuring normal operation and compliance with university network and security standards.
• Providing client desktop support including printers, mobile devices, and classroom, instructional, and conferencing technologies.
• Architect and revising system design procedures and processes to meet quality standards with documentation of specifications, changes and test procedures.
• Managing data center and server infrastructure with disaster recovery, redundancy, and availability planning.
• Researching and recommending technology enhancements, upgrades and replacements for staff, faculty and digital studios.
• Integration of information processing, presentation, and processing needs with existing and emerging technologies. • Assisting with monitoring all daily production, including multiple digital video production studios, videoconferencing, production and conferencing schedules, video transcoding processes, and daily quality control to ensure professional broadcast standards for video and audio quality and for course delivery.
• Transferring, converting, editing and rendering video and audio using digital editing systems.
• Translating digital media content into distributable formats and creating and verifying backups of digital content.
• Managing remote productions and special studio set-ups by configuring equipment, shooting and editing content.
