This position promotes healthy and safe child care by assisting with program policy development and implementation of quality health, safety, and nutrition practices in early care and education settings. This position provides coaching, training, and resources to child care directors and providers, families, and regional and statewide partners.
|Job Duty Function||Support health and safety policies and practices in child care programs by:|
• Providing coaching support within team meetings, on-site visits, telephone calls, or e-mail;
|Job Duty Function||Develop and support use of health, safety and nutrition resources by:|
• Participating in statewide CCHC Community of Practice;
|Job Duty Function||Contribute to CDHD team efforts by:|
• Attending all CDHD staff meetings
• Education: Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a health related field.
• Experience related to early care and education:
- Health and safety standards in child care
• Working on an interdisciplinary team.
• Licensed health professional with education and experience in child and community health.
