The University Information Technology (UIT) department is looking for two technically savvy leaders to join the newly organized Customer Engagement and Support unit. The leaders must be enthusiastic about technology and have a passion for customer service to make a positive contribution to UND. We are interested in people who are forward thinking and able to lead a team of skilled technical staff.
UIT is the central information technology unit at UND committed to ensuring the academic success of students, faculty, and staff at the University of North Dakota by providing technology vision, leadership, project management, coordination, and support of university-wide technology solutions. UIT provides delivery of technology- based resources, services, and solutions to UND by leveraging current technologies, researching new technologies, and by positioning UND to innovate and use future technologies.
The two open positions are:
Lead Desktop Engineer:
The ideal candidates will monitor and coordinate the resources of the Desktop Engineering team while prioritizing their workload and providing mentoring, coaching, and training with an emphasis on ITSM standards and practices. The candidate will also be responsible for providing the standards for the end-points on campus.
Lead User Support Specialist:
The ideal candidate will monitor and coordinate the resources of the team while prioritizing their workload and providing mentoring, coaching, and training with an emphasis on ITSM standards and practices. This position also requires excellent customer service skills as they will be assisting students, faculty, and staff with a wide range of technical support issues.
Salary: $54,000 plus/year
