We are looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

STARTING AT $17.00 PER HOUR!!

Full & Part-Time Positions are needed for our Residential Group Homes & Waiver/Supported Living Homes

WHO WE ARE

TradeWinds Services, Inc. is a non-profit agency that has been providing support and care to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities in Northwest Indiana for over 50 years. 

We are a full-service agency providing services from infants to seniors. Beginning in the 1940's and since incorporation in 1967, TradeWinds has continued with our children’s programs of all-inclusive Childcare and Children’s Summer/Functional Skills & Winter Camps, and Speech & Occupational Therapy in local classrooms. Our adults with developmental and physical disabilities programs include Adult Day Activity Program & Training (ADAPT), Pre-Vocational Services in Packaging & Assembly and Order Fulfillment, Sewing Manufacturing, Sign Shop, and Employment Services; Residential Group and Supported Living Homes; Respite for Caregivers, Deaf Services; and a Chicago Lighthouse Low Vision Clinic for residents of Northwest Indiana.

We take great pride in helping our participants reach new goals every day. TradeWinds has continued to meet the increasing need for these services, making a direct impact on the lives of local children and adults with special needs, their families, and the Northwest Indiana community.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Work cooperatively with supervisors and other staff to:

• implement programming

• training

• recreational and community activities (indoor and outdoor)

• therapeutic activities

• provide a safe, clean, positive environment at all times

• give engaging assistance to individuals aiding in developing strategies that overcome obstacles

• promote an opportunity for growth.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU! 

• Flexibility in schedule including nights, weekends, & holidays.

• Valid driver’s license – must meet requirements.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Able to pass a drug screen & criminal history check.

• Must be a responsible, reliable person who is able to work independently.
