Environmental and Code Coordinator
Summary: The Environmental and Code Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing an environmental and sustainability program for the Township of Montclair’s municipal operations, residents, schools, and local businesses.
Duties: Oversees the Township’s environmental, energy efficiency, and sustainability related programs. Writes and distributes educational material, press releases and other informational material to promote the programs, as well develops, recommends and implements plans for promoting the programs. The individual in this position also identifies opportunities for program funding and leads efforts to solicit funding. Must be able to work non-traditional hours, including attending evening meetings.
Requirements: The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field such as Sustainability or Environmental Science, from an accredited college or university. Must possess two (2) years of experience in the management of an environmental and sustainability program with knowledge in solid waste, recycling, materials management, and energy programs.
Salary: Annual salary $73,075 plus full medical benefits
