Assessment Clerk/ Technician
The Town of East Lyme Assessor Office is currently Hiring for: Assessment Clerk/ Technician The Assessment Clerk provides technical and special administrative assistance under the general supervision of the Assessor/Assistant Assessor. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: processing property information related to real estate, personal property and motor vehicle accounts; preparing and entering information into appropriate databases; data collecting and field work; and assisting members of the public in filing for exemption and tax credit programs. The applicants are required to have a High School Diploma and three years of progressive responsible experience in assessment, real estate, or business or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the desired knowledge base. The candidate should have proven customer service skills and the ability to work independently and use judgement as required. This position is a Full-Time Hourly Union position. Applicants may be required to pass a physical exam, drug/alcohol screening, credit check, and a criminal background check. A valid Connecticut Driver's License is required.
