Powerline Technician III
Salary Range: $44,476-$65,824. Starting Salary dependent upon qualifications Review of Applications will begin February 20, 2020 Employees in this class perform advanced journey level technical work in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical lines. Work is differentiated from lower levels of line work by the variety of more difficult secondary and primary high voltage line work, by greater independence of action, and by assigning and inspecting work, assuring compliance with safety rules and regulations, and training other line workers. Employees are expected to possess a thorough knowledge of standardized techniques and practices utilized in power line construction, maintenance, and repair. Work requires frequent on-call and call-back responsibilities. Graduation from high school supplemented by training in electrical principles and considerable experience at the electric line worker - third class level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of a valid North Carolina class A commercial driver's license.
Police Officer
Salary Range: $36,590-$54,153. Starting Salary dependent upon qualifications Under general supervision assists in and performs a full range of general law enforcement duties. Requirements include possession of the Basic Law Enforcement Certificate awarded by the NC Criminal Justice Education and Standards System, high school diploma, and possession of a valid NC driver's license.
Positions are considered safety sensitive and as a conditional offer of employment, the successful candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and/or drug screen as well as a background check.
