The Accounts Payable position is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services, including processing and monitoring payments and expenditures, in an effective and efficient manner to ensure that municipal finances are accurate and up to date and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits. The Accounting I – AP I is cross-trained in running of cash receipts, business and sales tax licensing and certain functions of the Finance Manager’s job.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three to five years of experience in accounting required, public sector accounting preferred.

Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of accepted landscape maintenance practices related to turf, plants and flowerbeds and experience with appropriate tools and safety practices. Ability to follow written and oral instruction, recognize, and maintain time schedules and deadlines. Ability to recognize and solve problems and to handle public complaints or requests in a cooperative manner. Ability to interpret manuals, catalogues and shop drawings related to the position. Ability to use hand and power tools and machines, including but not limited push mowers, string trimmers, snow blowers, backpack blowers and other equipment and to operate for long intervals in all kinds of weather. Ability to work independently under limited supervision. Ability to climb, balance, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry. Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 75 pounds, and with assistance equipment and materials weighing up to 100 pounds, such as snowplow blades, truck chains, and bags of cements. Conversational English required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: This position requires possession of Colorado Driver’s License and safe driving record for continued employment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of one year of experience in turf, landscape and irrigation preferred. A strong safety record preferred.
