Town of North Branford is accepting applications from friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals with excellent customer service skills for the position of part-time Library Assistant to work in the Atwater & Smith Libraries. This position performs a wide variety of basic circulation and library-related tasks that will primarily take place at our children’s service desks. The position will be expected to help families locate materials, share our services, and assist our children’s librarians with collection upkeep and program prep. This position works closely with the public by responding to inquiries and assisting with information and technology needs. The ideal candidate will be team oriented, tech savvy, and have an affinity with children of all ages and their caregivers and educators. High school diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience working in a library or similar setting is preferred, but not required. This is a part-time, 16-hour per week position, including evenings and some weekends. Salary range $16.47-$20.02 per hour, depending on qualifications. No benefits.
