The Gant in Aspen has several immediate openings for Full Time positions including:
- Human Resources Manager
- Housekeepers
- Room Inspectors
Objective:
Ensure readiness of units for guest occupancy.
Scope:
All Housekeeping functions as they relate to providing guests services. This position will encompass an Inspector position and a Room Attendant Position. Occasionally responsible for some management duties. An understanding of Housekeeping Management job duties, R/A duties, and Housemen duties.
Essential Job Functions:
Room Inspections
-Responsible for unit cleanliness by means of corrections, follow-up on RA and Houseman services, deep cleans and arrivals.
-Stocking of amenities.
-Stocking of required items (unit inventory).
-Reporting maintenance items.
-Computer operations.
-Reporting loss or damage.
Training Programs
-A thorough understanding of training manuals for the R/A's and Housemen are required to assist in the training of new employees.
-Quality Control checks.
-To assists in maintaining an upgraded training manual.
-Retraining an employee as needed.
-To promote new advancements in cleaning.
Administrative Representative
-Assist in daily administrative duties.
-Key distribution.
-Assignment sheets.
-Communication with room attendants.
-Communicate currently with supervisors.
-Manage office in supervisors absence.
-Manage room attendants in supervisors absence.
Inventories
-Assist in maintaining accurate inventories.
Walk-Through
-Inspect condition of unit.
Security
-Report any unusual activity or incident.
-Practice Gant Housekeeping security and safety at all times.
-Light and lock checks in all units of assigned areas.
-Assist with key control.
Gant Representative
-Be an example to co-workers
-Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner with all guests and co-workers.
-Present yourself in a professional, efficient and courteous manner to Gant homeowners.
-Be Available.
-Perform tasks outside the normal job parameters as requested to achieve Gant service goals and standards.
Room Attendant
-You must be able to perform Room Attendant's cleaning of a unit.
Communication:
-Communication with Supervisors regarding day's activities, and all other departments.
Safety:
-Adherence to safe lifting procedures.
-Understand proper and safe use of all cleaning chemical.
-Knowledge and understanding of all fire and emergency procedures and Gant safety standards.
-Continually monitor all work areas for safety and sanitation.
-Correct any dangerous situation that may present itself. Initiate corrective action and follow through until the situation is rectified.
-Observation of any unusual activity, and report to the Housekeeping or Maintenance Supervisor, Assistant or General Manager.
Qualifications:
Dependable, stable work background.
Experience working with the public.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing to guests and co-workers.
Willingness to put in extra time or change schedule to achieve goals.
Ability to do several tasks at one time.
Ability to walk long distances and remain on feet for majority of the day.
Ability to perform the following repetitively, on a daily basis:
-Climb stairs.
-Bend over as when putting dirty linens and towels on maid closet shelves, cleaning behind some pieces of furniture, picking up -items from floor, re-stacking firewood and cleaning bathtub.
-Kneel and crawl to clean various lower parts of units for such as baseboards and fireplace hearths.
-Reach and stretch to clean under beds, overhead cabinets, ceilings and under miscellaneous furniture.
-Push and pull and carry a vacuum cleaner, various furniture, open and close dumpster doors, et.
-Lift and carry 25-50 pounds as when carrying dirty laundry and towels.
Manual dexterity for picking up small items from floors, furniture, bathrooms and sinks.
Ability to see small details such as hair on bathroom floor, lint on upholstery, spots on carpets, dust on drapes, dried food on items, etc.
Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction.
Cheerful, cooperative attitude with guests, owners, and co-worker.
Work Environment:
Housekeeping Office Equipment: Computer, phone system calculators, radios, file cabinets, desks, chairs, shelves of checker supplies, lost and found closet
E-1: Cleaning supplies, equipment.
Maid Closets & Storage Areas: Linens, guest supplies, inventory items, cribs, rollaways and highchairs.
Laundry: Equipment, washer, dryer, chemicals, carts
Front Office: Computers, PBX, paging system and housekeeping mailbox.
140 Condominiums: Accessible by small flight of stairs located on floors. All condominiums equipped with full kitchens, fireplaces, vacuum cleaners, phone system.
Conference Center: Meeting rooms upstairs and downstairs, accessible only by stairs. Kitchens, saunas and bathrooms.
General Property Environment: 5 acres of land including 10 buildings all accessible by walking, 2 tennis courts, 2 pools and hot tubs, 3 elevators and 5 coin operated laundries.

Inspector baskets containing literature & supplies.
Daily schedule, checklists and maintenance ticket.
Computer and calculator.
Radios.
