The Colorado Trust is a private grantmaking foundation dedicated to achieving health equity for all Coloradans. Partnering with individuals, groups and communities across the state, The Trust's vision is that all Coloradans have fair and equal opportunities to lead healthy, productive lives regardless of race, ethnicity, income or where we live. We define health equity as ending inequalities that affect racial, ethnic, low-income and other vulnerable populations so that everyone will have fair and equal opportunities to achieve good health.
The Colorado Trust is a foundation committed to advancing the health and well-being of all Coloradans.
The Colorado Trust (often referred to simply as The Trust) was established in 1985 as a private foundation, endowed with the proceeds of the sale of the assets of PSL Healthcare Corporation. More information on the creation and early years of the foundation can be found in A History of The Colorado Trust, a 2011 book authored by former Colorado Trust President and Chief Executive Officer John R. Moran, Jr.
The Trust is dedicated to ensuring all Coloradans have the opportunity to thrive. We partner with people and organizations across Colorado that are working to make positive changes in their communities. We provide funding and other resources so that all people have the power to make decisions that improve their lives and the lives of their neighbors.
The Trust believes local and statewide policies should have a positive impact on people’s well-being. We provide grants and support to organizations that advocate for policies that ensure all Coloradans live healthier lives.
We work side by side with grantees and community members to ensure grants are solution-based and effective.
