Senior Manager - Solutions Engineering (Operations) Tata Communications (America), Inc. seeks a Senior Manager Solutions Engineering (Operations) for our Matawan, NJ office location to provide technical network designs, customization, and support for complex and transformational solutions, utilizing multi-products including hybrid cloud infrastructure enablement services (IZO), software-defined wide area network (SDWAN), MPLS, Global VPN, Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS), Ethernet, Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), Unified Communications, Acceleration and Optimization, Internet Connectivity, Data Centre, Broadband LNS, and Managed Security Services. Responsible for in-depth network analysis and ensuring enforcement of best practices adoption in network designs, configurations, low-level designs, and troubleshooting guides. Provide assessment of access circuit, designs and technology selection, single point of failure (SPOF), network resiliency, identification and confirmation of diversity and routing to ensure faultless and stable services. Responsible for employing solution design methodologies, product offerings and multiple platforms technologies to ensure compatibility, interoperability, stability, scalability and usability of solutions for customer services. Accountable for identifying risks in networks and further planning and administrating required service improvement plans, sophisticated network migrations and required changes for increased network uptime and improved services. Technical interaction with customer and deriving actions to suppress service quality issues. fourth line "solution" and "design fault" technical expert in service operations for solution of complex problems and faults in network designs and solutions. 20% travel required
The position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field of study and ten (10) years of experience. Experience must involve ten (10) years of experience in the following: solution and network design; service operations, network management, incident management, and technical account management; Internet Service Provider (ISP); TCP/IP; routing and switching; MPLS; BGP; OSPF; QoS and transmission SDH; SIP; platforms including Cisco, Juniper, and Alcatel Lucent; routers/switches and firewalls, including ASA and Fortinet; cloud platforms including SDWAN technology; Enterprise Network Services including Internet, Layer 2, Layer 3 Virtual Private Network (VPN), MPLS VPN, Ethernet Services, and VOIP; security and Unified Collaboration Services; and C-level communication in enterprises. 20% travel required.
