T-Mobile USA, Inc. seeks Engineers, SDET in Denver, CO to ensure requirements and user stories are testable, clarify any ambiguity with requirements, user stories, design, and other artifacts produced as part of the product lifecycle and work towards developing and executing automation test scripts. Engage in sprint lifecycle including Backlog grooming to refine requirements, sprint planning to discuss test requirements and timelines, sprint review meeting to demonstrate completed work and sprint retrospective for improvements in future sprints. Analyze and clarify user requirements, feature acceptance criteria, and create sub tasks for itemizing testing tasks in JIRA. Create various test environments and acceptance tests. Perform manual testing by means of UI testing, API testing using POSTMAN and Data validation as necessary. Perform functional, regression testing on various platform and devices in pre prod test environment to ensure all objectives are met and solution works as expected. Analyzing how systems are being tested manually and identifying opportunities to reduce that time and effort through automation. Perform test automation and setting up systems on multiple application platform. Work with team to create and update automation test framework for automation testing of applications. Construct Page objects using Selenium, TestNG, develop and execute JAVA test scripts in Eclipse IDE or iTerm, and evaluate test execution reports in Sauce Labs and ETP. Debug code to discover any inconsistency, breakdown of test cases etc. Follow CI/CD pipeline by using Bitbucket/GitLab/Jenkins tools to create pull requests, merge branches and build deployment using Git commands. Design, document, and maintain functional test cases using Test Rail and qTest. Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. Collaborate with developers and product team to provide feedback on identified issues and assist in resolving issues to closure by retesting. Log and track bugs using Jira, Rally and qTest tools. Perform an automated regression suite run which includes sanity and critical functionality test cases prior to every release to identify any existing bugs. Participate in design and code review as needed to meet design standards. Research test tools, methodologies, trends and process. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Experience and education requirements: PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, or related, and 1 year of relevant work experience. ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience. In addition, the following skills are required: (1) Utilizing knowledge of software development life cycle, test methodologies tools, Selenium, REST Assured tools to support testing of backoffice microservices for customer billing application and POSTMAN tool to perform Rest API testing; (2) Designing, developing and maintaining automation tests using JAVA, Selenium, TestNG to build reusable and maintainable automated regression suite to perform test execution on front end and back-end applications; (3) Creating branches, merge requests, and generating build deployments using GitLab, Jenkins and Bitbucket DevOps tools; (4) Designing and developing test plans, test cases using test management tools, including TestRail, qTest, based on requirement, executing test cases, analyzing the test result and logging and tracking defects using project management tool, JIRA; (5) Using databases MongoDB and Cassandra, for database querying and population using SQL/No SQL; and (6) Developing page objects, client objects, and test scripts using the Eclipse IDLE, and VS Express Integrated development environment to maintain the test framework and ensure test execution is successful. Colorado Pay Range: $101,972.74 to $118,000.00/year. The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
