Mental Health Navigator/Case Manager Summit County Sheriff's Office.
Summit County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a well-qualified individual to perform the duties of the position of Lieutenant in the Detentions Division. The position performs a variety of management and supervisory responsibilities to ensure the safety, security, and orderly operations of the Detentions Division. This position will have an emphasis of mental health programs management and coordination. These responsibilities will involve management of the grant and contract service programs, monitoring of inmate screening for mental health, substance abuse and suicidality, and navigation with program providers, community support programs, and the criminal justice system. The position requires shift work, work on holidays, and subject to call-back.
The ideal candidate will have a work history in Detentions with safety and security experience, be a team-oriented professional with interest in mental health programs and inmate navigation. The candidate must possess data entry, telephone, word processing, and communication skills. The candidate should have excellent customer service demeanor and desire to work with mental health and community-based providers and with the judicial system to navigate for individuals in custody. The successful candidate will be working in-group and in-person with system providers and will have experience managing projects, meetings, groups, timelines, and accurate reporting requirements. The candidate must be able to answer questions, providing clear directions and accurate referrals in a high volume work environment.
