Equipment Operator
Summit County is recruiting an Equipment Operator who will perform skilled tasks in the operation and maintenance of light to heavy-duty equipment as needed to construct, maintain, or repair county roads and service systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Equipment Operator I: High school graduate or equivalent and one year of experience in operation and maintenance of light to heavy-duty equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Class B Utah Commercial Driver's License and be able to obtain a Class A Utah Commercial Driver's License within six months of hire. Preference given to those who already possess a Class A Utah Commercial Driver's License.
Salary Range: $19.11 - $26.75/hour.
Equipment Operator II: High school graduate or equivalent and five years of experience in operation and maintenance of medium to heavy-duty equipment, or and equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess or be able to acquire a valid Class A Utah Commercial Driver's License.
Salary Range: $20.26 - $28.37/hour.
Equipment Operator III: High school graduate or equivalent and ten years with a Public Works Department as an Operator I & II and successful completion of an advancement exam, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Class A Utah Commercial Driver's License.
Salary Range: $21.46 - $30.07/hour.
