Prosecuting Attorney

Summit County, located in Utah, is recruiting for a part time, less than thirty hours, prosecuting attorney looking to learn and make a difference among a team of excellent prosecuting attorneys. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated individual who is dependable, has a strong work ethic, a demonstrated history of effectively working independently, and delivering a consistent work product. This is a non-benefited position.

This position will work in our Criminal Division, located at the Justice Center in Park City, Utah. The successful candidate will join a team focused on providing excellent legal services to county government.

Performs professional legal duties as required to expedite the efficient and effective litigation of juvenile and criminal cases within the county. Works under general supervision of the Chief Prosecuting Attorney, County Attorney or Prosecuting Attorney III, IV or V on project by project basis. May provide close supervision to legal secretaries. May hire a Prosecuting Attorney I, II, or III depending on submitted qualifications and experience.

Prosecuting Attorney I
Salary Range: $45,445.46 - $63,697.67/annually
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from a College of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Utah (member in good standing of the Utah State Bar and Federal Bar of Utah).
- Incumbent must successfully complete mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) training every two (2) years.
- Must be able to pass extensive background check.

Salary Range: $50,495.20 - $71,570.71/annually
