Deputy Treasurer

Summit County is recruiting a full-time Deputy Treasurer to facilitate the collection of county property taxes and the processing of county general funds. Will also participate in the recording of tax remittances and maintenance of property tax records as required by law for the office of County Treasurer. Potential applicants need a thorough understanding of a Windows-based computer environment, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, a knowledge of cloud-based computing preferred. Knowledge of basic accounting, ability to perform mathematic functions quickly and accurately, experience with banking procedures preferred. Must communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with fellow employees, supervisors, and the public.

Deputy Treasurer I: Graduation from High School, with course background in bookkeeping, accounting, mathematics, finance or some other related field; plus one year of specialized training related to above duties; and two years of general clerical and/or financial experience. Salary Range: $15.73 - $21.74/hour.

Deputy Treasurer II: Graduation from High School, with course background in bookkeeping, accounting, mathematics, finance or some other related field; plus one year of specialized training related to above duties; and three years of general clerical and/or financial experience. Salary Range: $16.68 - $23.35/hour.

Deputy Treasurer III: Graduation from High School, with course background in bookkeeping, accounting, mathematics, finance or some other related field; plus one year of specialized training related to above duties; and five years of general clerical and/or financial experience. Salary Range: $17.67 - $24.75/hour.
