Summit County is seeking a Communication Coordinator. This is a temporary, non-benefited position, working less 28 hours per week, 1-2 days per week will be required in the office. Will work under the supervision of the Communications and Public Engagement Director and Deputy Director. Responsible for content creation and proactive communication outreach to the public in Summit County. Disseminates accurate timely information about County services, operations, policies, special projects and events with a focus on community awareness, education and relationship-building.
- Current enrollment in or graduation from an accredited College or University with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Advertising, or at least one (1) year of experience in public relations, marketing, advertising, or graphic design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred experience with Facebook Ads Manager, podcast production, WordPress, HTML, CSS and coding. Familiarity with or knowledge of Summit County communities.
Salary: $14.00 - $18.00/hour.
