Operational Control Systems Engineer - (job location: Paramus, NJ; employer: SUEZ Water Management & Services Inc. )
Define control system requirements that align with the SUEZ Utility National Standards & Guidelines. Work with Operations Leader & Regional Control System Engineer & subject experts to coordinate deployment of Technology Roadmaps & SUEZ National Standards for organization. Design & develop innovate features & interfaces for Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Support SCADA system integration with other operational systems including Geographical Information, Asset Management, & Water Quality reporting systems. Conduct Control System project management including development of control system specifications, project procurement, & project execution. Conduct Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) & Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming for industrial control systems. Create, plan, manage, monitor & communicate project charter, proposal, scope, schedule, cost, budget & risks, ensuring that team & stakeholders understands their roles & responsibility in project success. Configure, monitor, & maintain devices using Cisco IOS command-line interface (CLI). Conduct programming in C & SQL. Interface with operations, engineering, IT, & other groups to ensure control system cyber security policies, procedures, & infrastructure are adhered to & maintained. Troubleshoot systems, perform root cause analysis, & identify resolution options. Oversee vendors during construction & delivery of SCADA systems. Develop & apply SCADA system test plans. Develop & implement provisions to support ongoing SCADA system operations. Support operational reporting strategy including daily reporting, analytics, & data visualization. Supports Utility Division with system acquisition opportunity evaluations & integrations as requested.
Requires: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering & two years of experience in position offered or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering & five years of post-Bachelor's progressive experience in position offered. All required experience must have included performing the following duties for a water utility company or a water & wastewater treatment company: Designing & developing features & interfaces for SCADA system; conducting PLC & HMI programming for industrial control systems; supporting SCADA system integration with Geographical Information, Asset Management, & Water Quality reporting systems; configuring, monitoring, & maintaining devices using CLI; & programming in C & SQL.
