1 Full time opening in Treatment Services.
Purpose: Incumbent provides an array of services to a mixed caseload of individuals suffering from serious and persistent emotional, mental, and/or substance abuse disorders. Services are offered in individual and group settings utilizing evidence-based clinical practices and skills and in compliance with program standards.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, including detailed documentation of patient interaction, treatment plan, progress and discharges.
- Participate in the intake process by interviewing clients and/or their family members to obtain family, social, employment, medical, and mental health treatment history and conduct mental health screenings and assessments. Participate in the development of individual and group treatment plans designed to address psychological, mental, emotional, and family dysfunction.
- Assist individuals in identifying and accessing resources and/or services that will be of benefit to the individual such as, but not limited to, housing, support groups, medication management, etc. Coordinate mental health support services to clients and facilities by linking them to other community resources to maximize client self-sufficiency and independence significant to clients’ continuum of care.
- Coordinate continuity of care and other treatment related services with caseworkers, probation officers, and other community and healthcare workers. Make referrals to crisis intervention providers, as needed.
- Participate in Treatment Services multi-disciplinary treatment team to review client cases, treatment approaches, clinical issues, client progress and treatment recommendations.
- Document services within the electronic health record system or other required forms according to agency and state/federal guidelines, timelines, and standards.
- Provide Community Education Presentations as requested. Maintain cooperative professional relationships with local community agencies significant to the continuum of care.
- Attend educational offerings to enhance treatment program
- Participate in Quality Improvement and Logic Models for program evaluation
- Maintain HIPPA and 42 C.F.R. Part 2 Confidentiality and all state and federal regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Meet program productivity, documentation and record keeping expectations.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or another social services field
- Two years’ experience in the mental health field; co-occurring disorders treatment preferred
Required Licensure/Certifications:
- Current licensure as Mental Health Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist or Clinical Social Worker required
- Current Substance Use Disorder Professional Certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Makes appropriate use of available technology to communicate and process work.
- Prepares effective written reports and maintains accurate records.
- Knowledge of the most current version of The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
- Understanding of the principles and techniques of clinical interviewing, diagnosis, and assessment.
- Understanding of theories, principles, techniques, and evidence-based practices of individual and group psychotherapy.
- Understanding of psychological, physical and social aspects of mental disorders, substance-use disorders, and recovery.
- Understands and properly follows established procedures in preventing and responding to unsafe or emergency situations.
- Understands and utilizes codes of professional and ethical conduct specific to their professional license area.
- Ability to conduct clinical interviews, individual and group psychotherapy.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply complex mental health technical materials and applicable federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations governing mental health treatment.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of client information with regards to all federal and state guidelines and laws.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, staff, and other agencies.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
