Assistant Director of Energy Management
The Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania invites applications for the Assistant Director of Energy Management.
Position Summary
- Performs special projects and other duties including investigating facilities issues, writing reports, and executive summaries, and communicating for the AVP Facilities, Planning and Environmental Safety as assigned.
- Tracks and reports all campus/building utility usage and billing on a monthly basis. Tracks usage versus annual targets and identifies building energy consumption issues and works with Maintenance staff to resolve.
- Works with Penn State Facilities Engineering Institute as the primary Facilities representative for purchasing utilities and tracking contract information and costs.
- Teams with the Director of Sustainability to investigate, develop, and implement energy conservation and GHG reduction projects in order to achieve carbon neutrality on the SRU campus by 2037.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree. Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy management, utilities, and HVAC controls/building automation systems. Knowledge of UCC and ASHRAE rules and regulations. Experience working with diverse populations. Successful performance in an on-campus interview.
