Sitting Bull College (SBC) serves the residents on and near the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota and South Dakota. The Standing Rock Sioux Reservation encompasses a vast land base of 2.4 million acres and straddles the States of North and South Dakota.
The College was founded in 1973 and chartered by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, SBC was one of the first of six tribal colleges to be established in this country and was also one of the first to be awarded ten-year accreditation status through the NCA-Higher Learning Commission.
SBC continues to achieve ten year accreditation status with the last comprehensive visit in 2013. SBC is listed with the U.S. Department of Education as an eligible accredited post secondary minority institution.

Clinical Nursing Instructor:
The clinical nursing instructor is responsible for providing instruction and supervision of the clinical nursing experiences and the nursing course laboratory experiences of students enrolled in the practical nursing program.
- Responsible for providing instruction and supervision of work experience activities of students enrolled in the TREND Welding Certificate program.
Building Trades Instructor:
- Responsible for providing instruction and supervision of work experience activities of students enrolled in building trades program.
