Front Counter Sales

REPORTS TO: General Manager

Greets and provides excellent customer service to all walk-in and telephone customers. Assists with the selection and purchase of building materials along with receiving payments, issuing receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers. Assists in pricing and stocking inventory, display presentation and maintenance and maintains a quality store presentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides exceptional customer service with positive body language and a positive attitude
* Provides product information, location and general store knowledge.
* Directs customer to pick up points.
* Opens and closes-out till and accurately documents all transactions.
* Restocks merchandise displays as needed
* Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers regarding orders, pricing, availability and delivery times.
* Assists other employees and departments as directed and needed.

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE DESIRED
* Knowledge of building materials and methods
* Excellent communication skills using verbal, written and listening skills
* Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
* Computer literate
* High School Diploma or GED and 6 months related experience.

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:
* None required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
* Sit/Stand for 8 hours per day.
* Frequent use of hands and wrist required for computer and telephone use.
* Work indoors in Office/Desk setting
* Occasional work on showroom floor.
