Assistant Director of Admissions-Marketing, Graduate Programs

Saint Mary’s College has an immediate opening for an Assistant Director of Admissions-Marketing, Graduate Programs. This person will work closely with the Director of Admission-Graduate Studies, Associate Provost and Dean of Faculty, and program directors to develop and implement content strategies to increase the exposure, awareness, and understanding of the College’s graduate programs as well as provide lead generation and follow-up. This position performs a variety of design, writing, editing, print, media relations, and web content management activities to support these efforts. Managing digital markets is a key function of this position. The person in this position will create a social media strategy and create/curate content to achieve social media goals. This individual will also assist with representing Graduate Studies at on and off campus recruitment events.

Other job responsibilities of this position include event planning, as well as merchandise design and management. Essential job functions include: Oversees the marketing and communications needs for the Office of Graduate Studies With the Director of Graduate Admissions, updates and implements the existing integrated graduate marketing/admission plan (a calendar of annual needs for a segmented audience) to enable resource planning. Assists with the planning and execution of admissions marketing campaigns for the College’s graduate programs. Utilizes opportunities for the use of media to increase awareness of the College’s graduate programs, including pay per click and marketing email blasts. Writes press releases related to the graduate programs. Manages and maintains the web content of the various graduate programs pages. Assures the web content is accurate and up to date. Creates print materials to support Graduate Studies marketing and admission initiatives. Selects best-fit vendor, according to cost and quality, for printing publications, merchandising, and video creation. Represent Office of Graduate Studies at various on and off campus events.

QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Additionally, a successful candidate will possess: a minimum of three years of related work experience providing content for web and traditional media (preferably within higher education); Demonstrated ability to establish excellent working relationships with staff, clients, and vendors; A minimum of one year of experience with the complexities of graphics and print specification, bindery operations, quotations, four-color process printing, photo and artwork scanning; Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to meet deadlines; Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign/Creative Suite on a Macintosh platform; Experience with web content management systems (preferably Drupal); Demonstrated ability to manage multiple social media platforms and generate/curate content relevant and engaging for each channel; Significant experience with digital marketing strategies including but not limited to SEO, display ads, pay per click, geotargeting, geofootprinting, retargeting, etc.; Excellent customer service skills; and Experience creating and leveraging short video content across multiple platforms. This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines, the ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and strong interpersonal skills including exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This is a full-time position.
