SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. (SAI) is a Pittsburgh-based civil and structural consulting/engineering firm specializing in design, inspection, and construction management. Our Pittsburgh office is currently seeking highly motivated candidates for the following positions:

Water Resources Engineer

Candidates must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering with 3 to 6 years of experience in water resource work on PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike projects. Responsibilities will include project site and roadway drainage layout and design; Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control (E&SPC) planning and design; Stormwater Management planning, analysis and design; Best Management Practice (BMP) implementation and design; Hydrologic and Hydraulic Analysis and modeling (HECRAS, HY-8, etc.); Environment and Waterway Permitting (Ch. 102/105)/NPDES. Candidate will be expected to provide analysis and design in accordance with client requirements; coordinate for acquisition of PA DEP and local permits; work directly with clients as well as coordination with regulating and reviewing agencies; project planning and scheduling; assist in the preparation of E&SPC plans, reports, specifications, and cost estimates; provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff. Experience with MicroStation and water resource-related software is preferred. A Professional Engineer’s license, or ability to obtain licensure within one year of hire, is required. Candidate should desire to grow and advance technical knowledge and transition to a position to manage the Water Resource Group at SAI.

Highway Engineer

Candidates must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering with 4 to 8 years of progressive experience in all facets of highway design, and proficiency in geometric design and 3D modeling of highway corridors and roundabout projects. Familiarity with the production of PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike highway plans, specifications, and estimates is preferred. Experience with Microstation/InRoads and a Professional Engineer’s license is required.
