Overview: Under the overview of the Resident Services Manager/Grant Writer. The Family Self- Sufficiency Coordinator is a full-time position working at the Rocky Mount Housing Authority that performs a variety of duties related to the case management of FSS participants and the services related to the functioning of the Family Self-Sufficiency Program. This position works with a caseload of program participants to set, and work towards goals of greater self-sufficiency. In addition, the Coordinator will perform clerical duties related to the needs of the Resident Services Department including tracking participation, entering spreadsheet data, providing reports to Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other agencies, budget tracking letters and other duties as needed. The successful candidate is responsible for compliance with current selection policies and HUDadmissions regulations. Employee must exercise considerable independent judgment, tact, initiative, confidentiality and discretion in performing the duties of the position. A four-year (4) college or university with major course work preferably in the field of psychology, sociology, human services or non-profit management. Three (3) years or more of responsible community or social service experience that includes case management, peer support, service coordination or similar experience. Experience with Microsoft Office is required. The salary is commensurate with experience along with company paid fringe benefits.
