Drivers
Drivers needed in Garfield County for Traveler program transporting disabled passengers. Part-Time and On-Call, with no set schedule, limited hours, pay at 19.37 per hour. Paid Training. Must have flexible Schedule. Drive a Traveler vehicle (a small van or SUV) to transport disabled passengers to various locations throughout Garfield County.
Essential Duties:
Assists passengers, as needed, at pick-up, as well as into and out of passengers' destinations;
Assists passengers, as needed, with boarding and de-boarding the Traveler vehicle;
Ensures that each passenger is safely secured in his or her seat before transporting begins;
Collects applicable fees for the transportation service;
Ensures that passengers have a safe, comfortable, and expedient traveling experience;
Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting vehicle conditions and ridership numbers;
Performs other duties as assigned by the Traveler Director and/or Supervisor; and
Documentation of days’ pick-ups and drop offs.
Job Requirements:
Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License - CDL NOT REQUIRED.
Traveler Bus Operator Training (provided by Traveler personnel prior to first "on call" assignment)
Successful completion of CDOT physical exam, validated by documented Medical Card.
Some experience working with seniors and/or disabled persons.
