Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer (Onsite) (Milford, CT) for BIC Consumer Products Manufacturing Co., Inc. to design, build & test high volume equipment for the BIC lighters product category. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics Engineering or related field of study, and 3 years of experience as Mechanical Engineer. Will accept Master’s degree and 1 year of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience. Experience specified must include 3 years of experience (or 1 year of experience if Master’s degree) with each of the following: project management; complex problem solving and debugging of four bar linkage equipment with multiple degrees of freedom motion; 3D CAD and Windchill database management of technical documentation; utilizing Geometric tolerancing for high precision components; utilizing material science as it relates to high-tech coatings and material selection for metallic components; dealing with a controlled and federal regulated assembly processes to ensure product safety, plant safety and operator safety; debugging and designing high speed packaging and inspection; and Pro Engineer module Illustrate with regard to the animation of automated mechanisms.
