Service and Parts Personnel Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains core knowledge of products and product updates
- Maintains inventory of parts and shop materials daily to ensure that stock remains filled and locates out-of-stock parts or shop materials when needed
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders
- Manages process for returned parts Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice or its number is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified
- Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick up
- Contributes to the overall success of the dealership by working with all customers, teams and departments collaboratively and professionally with a positive attitude
Service and Parts Personnel Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- A professional appearance, friendly manner, and positive attitude
- Computer skills required
- Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and thorough, organized
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Prior experience in an automotive parts department preferred
