Early Childhood Care & Development
The Putney School Elm Lea Childcare Center Teaching Assistant Non-profit, early care and education program is seeking a part-time (approximately 25 hours/week) teacher with a strong work ethic to join our team in a family-style, mixed-age group setting serving children aged 3 to 5 years. Qualified candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic, and flexible, with a sense of humor, a love for children, and a strong knowledge of child development. Ability to relate to the children on their level is essential.
Duties to include: Create a safe and nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of children. Lesson planning, observation and assessment of children 3 and up through play, written and verbal skills. Clear communication with families. Candidates must have experience working in an early care and education program as well as a CDA or equivalent qualifications. Knowledge and acceptance of COVID guidelines are a must.
