Install and administer SQL Server 2016, 2014 on Windows server environments. Set up Always ON Availability Group on Windows Failover Cluster server environments. Work on Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools and SQL Server backups, restore and recovery models. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours. Create, write, troubleshoot, and deploy SSIS packages. M.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or technology related area and knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server, database replication methodologies, Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), SQL Server backups, restore and recovery models, Windows server, including Active Directory; familiarity with TSQL scripting and ETL processes, SSIS Packages; knowledge of SQL Server security administration and best practices. Requires MCITP or MCSE Certification. Job located in Salt Lake City, UT.
