QA Team Leader
Guide a team of individually contributing QA engineers in the successful release of software and its infrastructure to a production environment by setting clear goals and expectation and monitoring team member behaviors and metrics. Develop testing strategies and assign work as necessary to ensure that all testing commitments are met and creatively look for solutions to issues that affect that commitment. Bug tracking and test case management. Spearhead execution of manual and automated test scripts for complex, integrated web-based, mobile and client/server applications. Work with mobile application testing and troubleshoot. Work with content management software and UI automation tools. Understand the QA process using standard operating procedures to coach, train and develop individual team members. Oversee results analysis, troubleshooting and defect reporting and provide accurate and timely status reports to key stakeholders. Track team progress, manage and remove blockers to meet release date commitments. Ensure QA best practices are consistently maintained and provide insight on improving them. Determine and communicate environment and resource needs and conflicts in upcoming releases. Work closely with other QA leaders and Development teams to release software on schedule, accurately communicating risks and following established QA processes. Requires B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related area plus 5 years of experience in testing web and/or client-server applications and knowledge of SOAP and/or REST API testing skills using testing tools like SoapUI and Postman, bug tracking and test case management tools like TargetProcess; familiarity in determining automation candidate tests, running automated scripts and analyzing results; understanding of mobile application testing, troubleshooting tools like Firebug, content management software like WordPress and UI automation tools like Selenium.
