Pritchett Forestry Services, Inc. is hiring 150 Mechanical Tree Planters to work in AL, AR, FL, LA, MS, OK, & TX from 10/1/20 to 7/1/21. Hourly wage from $13.66 to $20.34, depending on location. OT hourly wage from $20.49 to $30.51. 8 hours Monday-Friday (8 AM to 5 PM); 40 hours/week. Manual itinerant work machine planting, thinning tree seedlings, applying insecticides and herbicides using equipment, removing brush and vegetation, and seedling pulling to reforest and maintain timberlands. Full time temporary job offer. Weekend work may be offered. OT may be offered. Must be 18 years or older. Must lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work is outdoors in extreme temperatures and adverse weather. Require physical stamina. Extensive walking over rough terrain. Overnight travel required. No education or experience require. If applicable, transportation and a subsistence allowance to the job will be paid upon completion of 50% of the employment period or earlier. Return transportation will be provided or paid for by the employer if the non-local worker completes the employ period or is dismissed early by the employer. Employer provides transportation between worksites. Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location. Transportation provided to daily worksites from a central location at no cost. Employer will assist non-local workers in locating reasonably priced shared housing near the areas of employment and the employer will pay for the cost of lodging to the extent that such costs would reduce pay below the offered wage rate for the area of intended employment. Employer provides tools, supplies and equipment req to perform the job. Employer may pay piece rate of $7-$10/acre planted correctly, or PW in the area of intended employer, whichever is higher. Reimbursement of approved cash advanced will be payroll deducted when auth by the worker in writing. Workers who hold or obtain a MSPA certificate with D/A may transport workers and may be offered additional work hours.
