Title: Fleet Operations Supervisor

Qualifications:                         

High School Diploma required. Have knowledge and competence of the proper methods and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of all fleet vehicles Five years experience in fleet maintenance operations preferred. Possess or acquire and maintain CDE Annual Inspector Certification. Possess or acquire and maintain at least a class B CDL license with P2S and Air Brake endorsements. Possess or acquire and maintain First Aid and CPR Certification. Ability to use necessary computer systems to perform essential diagnostic tests Must submit to mandatory random drug and alcohol testing. Acquire six hours of bus driver in-service yearly.

Terms of Employment:

Notice of Assignment shall be for 12 months. Compensation and leave benefits will be according to the adopted Classified Salary Schedule. Pass background check as per board policy.

Reports to: Business Services Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

Effectively communicate with Business Services Director, Transportation Clerk, and building administration as needed. Maintain and repair all fleet vehicles as needed. Supervise fleet maintenance personnel. Participates in the selection of fleet maintenance personnel. Coordinate training for all fleet maintenance personnel. Performs evaluations for all fleet maintenance personnel. Maintain records of certification and training for fleet maintenance personnel. Maintains fleet maintenance records as required by the school district and state of Colorado. Maintains proper inventories for fleet parts and supplies. Develops equipment replacement schedules and specifications for new equipment. Work with Driver Trainer in proper operation of district equipment and training for drivers. Be able to operate all school transportation vehicles and serve as a substitute as needed. Handle emergency situations effectively. Manages fleet fuel account. Participates in mapping routes. Participates in planning the monthly Transportation meeting. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Business Services Director.
