Senior Support Engineer for Ariba, Inc. (Pittsburgh, PA) to perform root cause analysis and provide solutions in complex environments for specific fields/areas.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, Information Systems or related field of study and 6 years of experience required. Will also accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.
Experience must involve 4 years in the following: EDI communications standards and protocols: AS2, SFTP, VAN, HTTPS; troubleshooting complex EDI failures; working with external EDI partners, and testing interconnected systems; ANSI X.12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, VDA or similar EDI standards; cXML-based standards, structure of cXML documents and the specification rules defined within DTDs and XSDs; business processes and transactions, such as purchase orders, invoices, catalogs and punch-out catalogs, reconciliation (orders, receipts and invoices), vendor management, contracts, sourcing (requests for quotes/price, auctions), and supply chain; writing SQL queries; reading JSON (JavaScript Object Notation); troubleshooting and debugging common web-browsers; and SSO (Single Sign-on) technologies, including SAML; Ariba Network and Spend Management applications; eCommerce, B2B, EDI, or systems integration; document flow and data translations between trading partners; digital certificate-based encryption and authentication and certificates installation; XML/EDI editors (like Altova XMLSpy, Oxygen XML Editor, Liaison EDI Notepad); API/Web Service testing tools (like Postman, SoapUI, and Telerik Fiddler); ERP and middleware systems used to automate business processes and link systems in B2B integration; Customer Service Environments; escalation handling; Process Improvement; Documentation; Project Management; coaching; and mentoring. 10% travel required.
