ONC BOCES is seeking a Health Occupations Instructor This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the high school CTE nursing program while teaching students the skills needed to succeed in the world of nursing. Students at the Otsego Area Occupational Center are offered the opportunity to earn their Home Health Aide (HHA) and Certified Nurse Assisting (CNA) licensures through our NYSED approved program. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, collaborator, and advocate for innovation, committed to ensuring our students receive world-class opportunities to enhance student outcomes and lifelong learning.

Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of professional nursing techniques and relation to medical surgical practices. Active and current NYS Registered Nursing License with two years of experience. Current Health Professional CPR certification. Must Obtain CTE teaching certification in Nurses’ Assisting. Minimum of 1 year of caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill. Required immunizations for the hospital setting. Valid Driver's License Starting Base.

Salary: $43,620 Plus $525 per year of experience Plus $45 per graduate credit Plus $975 per master’s degree NYS retirement, EAP, continuing education assistance, and exceptional insurance, including retiree health insurance, are available.
