Recovery Navigator Program – Outreach Navigator
DUTIES: Provide street-based outreach and engagement services to individuals who are or are at risk of becoming involved with the criminal justice system due to a Substance Use Disorder or co-occurring behavioral health issue. Be point of contact and primary liaison with law enforcement, community, and others making Recovery Navigator Program referrals. This includes responses during “after-hours/on-call” assigned shifts. Provide street outreach to engage referred individuals and help facilitate the transition to the assigned Case Manager. Follow up with individuals who may show signs of disengagement from services. Articulate one’s own recovery, resilience, and lived experience in ways that are relevant to the obstacles faced by individuals referred to the program, to build rapport and buy in from referred individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to provide appropriate case management and support services to program participants without impairing their ability to remain in recovery. Computer literacy required – clinical software used. Must have driver’s license, Abstract of driving record and Satisfactory criminal history background required

WORK SETTING: Positions available in Stevens, Ferry and Lincoln County. NEWACS is a Behavioral Health Service Provider that is mandated to have employees fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
