Student Program Coordinator

New Mexico State University College of Health, Education, & Social Transformation is accepting applications for Student Program Coordinator, position will support undergraduate endeavors in the department and oversee the establishment of internships for the UG Counseling & Community Psychology majors.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

CEP Student Program Coordinator for other Graduate Programs: 

SUMMARY: Assists all graduate program directors with graduate student admissions. Helps maintain flow of academic paperwork for all undergraduate and graduate programs in department, including waivers, approvals, etc. 

GRADUATE PROGRAMS/ADMISSIONS DUTIES: Serve as the initial contact for inquiries about graduate programs and is charged with recruiting students to these programs by helping students discuss which program better fits their interests or by referring applicants to faculty designated as program admissions coordinators as needed. Oversees the organization of application materials for review by faculty, works with the graduate school, and assists students with registration.  An important part of this job requirement involves working effectively with the program director, the graduate assistant(s) assigned to this program, and distance education staff, as well as others who might be involved, such as administrators and accrediting bodies.
