Job duties include: Research & analyze economic factors, regulatory issues, & other elements affecting transportation & logistics in the petrochemicals industry. Develop models for accurate quantitative & qualitative forecasting (incl freight, time charters, & vessel values) & perform demurrage calculations. Create & maintain global positions lists for commercial marketing, monitoring, & berthing assessments. Review historical commercial & operational data for benchmark assessments. Investigate & aggregate global trade flow data & contribute information to Odin Marine Group's worldwide supply & demand database. Candidates must have at least a Master's degree in Transportation & Logistics, International Transportation Management, or a related field & at least 18 months of professional experience working in transportation logistics within the shipping industry. Must have at least 18 months of experience participating in shipboard activities including loading & discharging operations, cargo, bilge, & ballasting operations, & daily ship maintenance, repairs, & inspections. Must have at least 18 months of experience conducting standard administrative work for cargo vessels, including preparing arrival & departure documents, organizing training & drills, & maintaining safety records. Must have at least 18 months of experience performing navigational tasks including overseeing the navigational watch, calculating position figures for the vessel planner, & assisting in the updating of navigational publications. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & ECDIS Navigator.
