Purchase/Inventory Control Associate
Purpose/Summary: The Purchasing / Inventory Control Associate will be responsible for reviewing inventory items and ensuring the appropriate levels needed for servicing our clients while striving to improve inventory turns.
Primary duties include: Responding to purchasing requests from the GM and Sales Team for pricing and lead time. Analyzing supplier order statuses, communicating delays and expediting deliveries to mitigate negative impacts to production scheduling and on-time delivery performance. Monthly Inventory reconciliation and cycle counts. Analysis of obsolete and excess inventory items and make recommendations for action. Analysis of non-conformed material and interface with suppliers on disposition. Manage outside processing needs related to inventory purchases. Maintain approved supplier performance records, ISO supplier performance and semi–annual review process. Resolve quality issues that might pertain to product.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred in business administration or related field program. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing purchasing experience, manufacturing or Steel Industry experience a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong math skills. AS400 system knowledge preferred. Microsoft Office experience Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with others or alone, team-oriented and self-motivated Working Conditions: General office environment.
