The Municipality of Murrysville, a progressive home rule community in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Manager/Community Planner. This is a high level supervisory position of considerable challenge. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for aiding the Chief Administrator in supervising and directing the Municipality’s day-to-day operations. The Assistant Manager is also the Community Planner and is responsible for municipal planning and coordinating the development within the Municipality. The individual will assist in planning matters, code enforcement, subdivision/land development, and zoning duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public administration, municipal planning or a related field.
Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government or a closely related field preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience and qualiﬁcations plus a comprehensive beneﬁts package including a pension plan and 457 deferred compensation plan.
