Mountain Valley Treatment Center, a unique not-for-profit residential treatment center for co-ed adolescent and emerging adults struggling with debilitating anxiety and OCD is searching for an additional Nurse to support our current Health Care Operations, which includes 1 Nurse and APRN. Located in beautiful Plainfield, NH within the Upper Valley Region and near Dartmouth College, Mountain Valley staff are provided the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele of private pay families and teens from around the world. The Registered Nurse RN will provide oversight and supervision to the medical needs of our residents, including medication administration, resident health and wellness needs, and communication with parents, providers, and various medical services. Schedule is typically Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, although not limited to, as other duties may be assigned. Maintain clinical licensure (RN) Review intake materials for relevant information and assessments and develop a baseline knowledge of health and psychiatric information prior to resident's admission to Mountain Valley. Review intake information to ensure copy of immunization record and most recent physical (within 30 days) is on file. Meet with resident within 24 hours of the day of intake, preferably on the day of admission Coordinate with home psychiatrist, pediatrician within 7 days of intake to ensure all health needs are met Coordinate with Clinical Team a schedule for ARNP each week Coordinate and schedule all appointments with Hanover Psychiatry, Upper Valley Pediatrics, and other local providers, as needed Monitor side effects of medications as directed by MD, ARNP, etc.. Obtain permission for any medication changes, and document in Best Notes Create MAR for each resident and oversee medication administration Provide trainings to residential faculty regarding medication administration and other health needs, as scheduled (needed) Initiate and maintain dialogue with all staff to ensure they receive needed resident specific health information that may impact his/her functioning Initiate and maintain communication with parent/guardian regarding residents' health needs Order medications so that residents have an adequate supply Maintain current documentation for each resident of all services provided and outside contacts made in accordance with policy (within 24 hours) Professionally represent Mountain Valley

Education and/or Experience: The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse (RN), with a minimum of a BSN. In addition, the ability to multi-task, work autonomously and as part of a team, and previous experience in a residential treatment center setting is preferred.
